CUP alum and Cincinnati native Rose Lavelle returned to the Queen City

CUP alum and Cincinnati native Rose Lavelle returned to the Queen City with her US Women's National teammates to take part in the second of a two game friendly event with New Zealand. In front of a record crowd of more than 30,000 people, the USWNT defeated New Zealand 5-0. Lavelle started the match and played the first 30 minutes; it was a planned substitution as Lavelle is returning from being injured.

Lavelle was the #1 draft pick in the 2017 NWSL Draft and has been a mainstay with the USWNT team during the 2017 calendar year. She currently plays for the Boston Breakers in the NWSL.

Congrats Rose and thanks for coming home!
