CU Announces CUP Girls Academy Head Coaches

2020-2021 Girls Academy Head Coaches

The Girls Academy League combines the high standards brought about by the DA, while providing clubs and conferences the autonomy to create the best league via top developmental environments, which will provide maximum exposure to collegiate, professional, and youth national team opportunities. 

Cincinnati United is pleased to announce the CUP GA Head Coaching staff for the 2020-21 season:


2007-Kurt Fischer

Kurt is a well known face within the Cincinnati United Premier program. Over the last 5 years Kurt has been a huge influence on the development and success of our teams and players at the highest level. Kurt joined Cincinnati United in 2015 after leaving FOSC to become the Assistant Director of Coaching for CUP Girls, before leading the Girls program between 2017-2019. Kurt is a former professional player and oversees our Futsal programming within Cincinnati United. Kurt holds a USSF A license.

Fischer: “I am incredibly excited to be given the opportunity to continue with the 2007s!  They are a fun group, packed with talent and passion for the game throughout the entire age group.


2006-Michael Litvack

Originally from Chicago, Michael has been a part of Cincinnati United for the past 6 years, joining the club as the Director of Coaching for CU Lakota Monroe. He eventually transitioned to coach within the CUP Boy’s program as the Youth Director, before becoming the DA Manager. In his former role Michael served as the head coach for the U12, U13, U14, and U15 US DA teams, He has coached at every level within Cincinnati United from our CU silo player to the DA. Micheal currently works within our CUP Girls program and we are excited to be expanding his role with the CUP/GA program. Micheal holds a USSF B license,  US Youth National Youth License.

Litvack: “I am very excited to be joining the GA and the training environment and culture it creates.”


2005-Gavin Macleod

Gavin will continue his role within the 2005 age group under the new GA, creating a clear pathway for any player looking to reach the next level. A native of Scotland, Gavin has an extensive resume. Over the last 10 years, he has served as the Director of Coaching at AFC Lightning in Atlanta, coached professionally in the USL, NPSL and W-league, and spent time coaching with Cincinnati United Premier in 2013 & 2014. Gavin currently serves as the Women’s Assistant Coach at the University of Cincinnati, a position he has held for the last 3 years. Gavin holds a UEFA B license, NSCAA Premier Diploma and is currently working towards his UEFA A license.

Macleod:  "I am looking forward to continuing to coach in the 2005 age group and having the opportunity to develop with the players. They are a driven group who have set the bar high, and I am excited to get back to work."


2004-Kurt Fischer

Kurt returns and reunites with many former players as he takes on the Head Coaching role within the 04 CUP/GA age group. Kurt brings a wealth of coaching experience  at the highest level and we are excited to be utilizing his abilities within the GA. Kurt holds a USSF A license.

Fischer: “The 2004s have always been a special group to me.  Having started with them at U11 and watching them grow has been great to see.  The opportunity to continue their development as they head into their college recruiting years will be an awesome experience. To help guide these amazing young women in this process is always something I take very seriously and am very passionate about.  I look forward to helping them continue this Journey!


2003/2-Scott Rodgers

As the Executive Director of Cincinnati United, a former college coach for over 10 years and a leader within both the CUP Girls and Boys program, no one knows the program better, or is better suited to the age group.  Understanding the needs within the collegiate level is critical in these final stages of any player's development. Scott brings a unique balance of select soccer and college soccer experience and we are excited to have him working with this age group. Scott has a USSF A license.

Rodgers: ”I have enjoyed watching the 02 and 03 age groups develop over the years. They are an amazing group and I look forward to helping them prepare for their adventures in college.”
